Winston Surfshirt live at Liberty Hall

Multi-platinum-selling singer, producer and rapper Winston Surfshirt is set to bring his genre-blurring, groove-soaked sound back to the stage with an exclusive headline show in Sydney this October.

Fans will be treated to brand-new tracks performed live for the first time, alongside the smooth jams and hip hop-infused hits that have made Winston Surfshirt one of Australia’s most distinctive and beloved acts.

The latest single JEEP offers another taste of what’s to come and is Winston Surfshirt’s playful ode to dad life, wrapping late-’90s/early-00s R&B influences around quiet drives, kids asleep in the back, and one CD stuck on loop. Written during a no-WiFi writing trip in Kangaroo Valley, the track flips nostalgic production cues into something tender, groovy and unmistakably Winston.

JEEP follows the album’s joyous first single Boots which premiered on Apple Music’s New Music Daily with Zane Lowe, and joins recent luscious singles Spend My Nights, Ice Cream and One Sugar – each sprinkling breadcrumbs towards the forthcoming album, WINSTON. Winston Surfshirt continues to draw global acclaim with Sir Elton John recently featuring Ice Cream on his Rocket Hour radio show, calling them, “One of my favourite Australian bands”.

Winston Surfshirt

Winston Surfshirt began as the solo project of its eponymous frontman – singer, producer and rapper Winston. Over time, he brought together close friends and local artists to form the globally beloved project that we know today. Known for their silky blend of funk, soul, hip hop and R&B to juiced up disco-house, they have built a reputation as one of Australia’s most exciting live acts, from sold-out tours across the UK and Europe to standout sets at Falls Festival, Spilt Milk, Field Day and Splendour in the Grass (immortalised on triple j’s Live At The Wireless).

Across 250 million streams, three acclaimed dreamy albums and collaborations with the likes of Genesis Owusu, Cosmo’s Midnight, Benny Sings, Talib Kweili, Kimbra, Dope Lemon, Flight Facilities and Channel Tres, the multi-platinum, 4x Gold certified artist is celebrating nearly a decade of music-making, inviting fans along for the journey as he elevates and expands his sonic landscape, cementing Winston Surfshirt’s place as a creative force within Australia’s music scene.
