Trick or Treat Trail
Get your costumes ready and join the Trick or Treat Trail around EQ! Kids can collect lollies and goodies from specially decorated stalls and friendly characters dotted throughout the precinct. Don’t forget to bring a bucket or bag — it’s the ultimate candy adventure in Sydney this Halloween.
Costume Contests
What’s Halloween without costumes? From tiny tots dressed as pumpkins to whole families decked out as superheroes, witches, or ghosts, everyone is invited to take part. Our costume parades and contests will award prizes for the funniest, scariest, and most creative outfits.
Live Shows & Spooky Entertainment
The Main Stage will be buzzing with family-friendly live performances, music, dancing, and interactive fun. Expect roving entertainers, stilt walkers, magicians, and plenty of “spooky silly” antics to keep kids laughing all day.
Craft Workshops & Face Painting
Unleash your creativity with Halloween craft stations, where kids can decorate trick-or-treat bags, make spider webs, or paint pumpkins. Add a finishing touch with face painting — whether they want to be a vampire, fairy, tiger, or glittery skeleton.
Movies Under the Stars
As the sun goes down, settle in for Halloween movie screenings on the big screen. Think family favourites with a spooky twist (details to be announced). Grab popcorn, snuggle under a blanket, and enjoy a magical night at EQ.
And that’s just the beginning — stay tuned for more surprises.
Tackle challenges in the Massive Monster Sports Jam, where beastly games and inflatables collide in monstrously good fun.
Then head to the Monster Mash Disco, where skeletons spin the decks and kids can show off their moves in our Best Dressed Monster competition. Costumes encouraged — the wilder, the better!
Halloween has become one of Australia’s fastest growing family traditions and The Entertainment Quarter is Sydney’s home of Halloween fun. Safe, exciting and packed with entertainment, the Halloween Family Festival is where kids can let their imaginations run wild, families can make memories and everyone can enjoy a little spooky magic.
So grab your costumes, bring your crew and get ready for Sydney’s most thrilling family Halloween weekend at The Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park.
Halloween isn’t Halloween without costumes and we want to see YOUR spookiest, funniest and most creative looks. Think little witches on broomsticks, skeleton families, superhero squads, cheeky pumpkins and even the family dog dressed as Dracula.
Costume Tip 1: Glow in the dark face paint is always a winner (and extra safe when trick or treating at night).
Costume Tip 2: Families that theme together scream together. Think Addams Family, Ghostbusters or a pack of werewolves.
Costume Tip 3: DIY is king. Cardboard wings, sheets for ghosts or handmade wizard hats are fun and affordable.
