Five weeks of comedy gold at the EQ this Sydney Comedy Festival

 

Sydney Comedy Festival 2027 is coming to the Entertainment Quarter from 12 April to 16 May, with over 150 shows at the Comedy Store. That’s a lot of laughs coming to Moore Park.

The festival is gearing up for its biggest year yet, and the EQ will be right in the thick of it. Expect plenty of reasons to head out for a night of live comedy. Your group chat’s plans might finally make it out of the group chat.

Sydney’s biggest annual comedy event

Since its beginnings in 2005, Sydney Comedy Festival has grown into Sydney’s largest annual comedy event. Each April and May, comedians from Australia and around the world take over venues across the city.

The festival celebrates comedy in all its forms, from stand-up to sketch and improv. Its broader program also includes musical comedy, theatre, magic and family entertainment.

There’s room for the big names and the next big thing. Whether you follow a favourite comedian or enjoy discovering someone new, the festival gives you plenty of opportunities to see live comedy.

Sydney Comedy Festival at the Comedy Store

Here at the Entertainment Quarter, the Comedy Store will host over 150 shows throughout the festival. With five weeks of performances ahead, you’ll have plenty of chances to make a night of it.
