Igorrr will bring their explosive and genre-defying sound to Australia for the first time in the act’s 21-year history, casting their unclassifiable magic across the country with a live performance at Liberty Hall, Entertainment Quarter, Sydney.
Created and spearheaded by French multi-instrumentalist Gautier Serre, Igorrr has evolved from one person’s pseudonym into a full group identity. That evolution has brought a new level of intensity to the act’s live performances, transforming Serre’s singular musical vision into a powerful group experience.
For Australian audiences, this long-awaited arrival offers the opportunity to experience the distinctive world of Igorrr live.

From the beginning, Gautier Serre’s work has drawn inspiration from an extraordinary range of artists and musical traditions. Influences including Meshuggah, Chopin, Cannibal Corpse, Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Taraf De Haidouks and Aphex Twin can all be found scattered throughout the Igorrr discography.
Yet Serre has never been interested in remaining static or simply recycling existing ideas. Instead, his work has continued to evolve dramatically, bringing together disparate musical influences and pushing them into unexpected territory.
The result is a truly unique sound built from a multitude of complex layers. Rather than fitting neatly into a single genre, Igorrr combines Serre’s wide-ranging tastes into what can only be described as a chaotic yet cohesive musical universe.

At the centre of Igorrr is Gautier Serre’s pursuit of total musical freedom. His approach brings together contrasting influences and ideas, creating music that reflects the breadth of his musical interests while continually evolving.
The transformation of Igorrr from one man’s pseudonym into a full group identity has also changed how that music is represented live. The expanded group format brings a new level of intensity to the live experience, allowing audiences to encounter the explosive energy of Igorrr in a completely different setting.
After 21 years of evolution, experimentation and musical exploration, Igorrr is finally set to make its Australian debut. The Sydney performance at Liberty Hall will be part of this first-ever Australian presentation of the French act’s distinctive sound.
For anyone drawn to music that refuses to remain within conventional boundaries, Igorrr offers an experience built around complexity, contrast and total creative freedom.
