Cirque du Soleil KOOZA returns to Australia and Sydney in 2026, arriving under the iconic Big Top at the Entertainment Quarter in Sydney. This internationally acclaimed production invites audiences into a world of daring acrobatics, vibrant characters and breathtaking performance.

A Thrilling Return to Classic Circus

KOOZA brings Cirque du Soleil back to its roots. The show delivers high-energy acrobatics, bold clowning and a sense of wonder that pays tribute to traditional circus storytelling. Audiences are swept into a visual world filled with surprises, laughter and edge-of-your-seat thrills.

Sydney fans are invited to experience KOOZA from 17 October 2026, with tickets on sale now.

Following the success of Luzia in 2024 – which broke sales records nationwide – and the recent national tour of Corteo, Cirque du Soleil returns to Australia with one of its most iconic touring productions.

The Story of KOOZA

KOOZA is told through the eyes of The Innocent, a gentle and curious character searching for his place in the world. His journey begins when a mysterious package arrives while he is flying his kite. From that moment, he is transported into a bizarre but captivating universe overseen by a mischievous Trickster with extraordinary abilities.

Throughout the show, The Innocent meets a colourful cast of characters, each guiding him through an emotional landscape of fear, identity, recognition and courage. The result is a narrative that moves between strength and fragility, turmoil and harmony.

Why KOOZA Stands Out

KOOZA is considered one of Cirque du Soleil’s most daring works. It features:

  • high-flying acrobatics
  • mind-bending balancing acts
  • whimsical clowning
  • elaborate handmade costumes
  • colourful sets and theatrical staging
  • a powerful live soundtrack

Since its debut in Montréal in 2007, KOOZA has been performed more than 5,000 times and has captivated almost eight million people in over 70 cities across 23 countries.

What Makes Cirque du Soleil Unique?

Cirque du Soleil began in Canada in 1984 with a mission to reinvent the circus. Instead of animal acts, the focus shifted to human performance, design and storytelling. Over the last four decades, Cirque du Soleil has grown into a global leader in live entertainment, reaching more than 400 million people across six continents.

Today, the company includes nearly 4,000 performers, technicians and creators from more than 80 nationalities, each committed to pushing the boundaries of contemporary circus.

How Cirque du Soleil KOOZA Is Different

KOOZA strips away spectacle to highlight extraordinary human skill. It blends high-stakes acrobatics with clever clowning, humour and a touch of chaos. The live band mixes 1970s funk, orchestral arrangements and traditional Indian influences to create a soundtrack that drives every moment on stage.

Every element—from the handcrafted costumes to the vibrant technicolour set design—builds a world that feels both intimate and larger than life. The show has been refined over more than a decade of touring, ensuring an experience that is polished, immersive and unforgettable.
