Against the Current will return to Australia in January 2027 for two exclusive shows as part of the Till Death & Back Tour, including a Sydney performance at Liberty Hall, Entertainment Quarter on Friday 22 January.
The modern rock trio will take to the stage in Australia for the first time since 2023, following their Nightmares & Daydreams world tour. With a career spanning more than a decade, Against the Current has evolved from a teenage project into a global phenomenon, building a fiercely loyal international fanbase along the way.

Formed in 2011 by vocalist Chrissy Costanza, guitarist Dan Gow and drummer Will Ferri when they were teenagers, Against the Current released their debut EP, Infinity, in 2014 before unveiling their debut full-length album, In Our Bones, in 2016.
The band followed with their sophomore album, Past Lives, in 2018, before embracing independence and a bold new chapter after the breakout success of their 2021 EP, Fever.
In 2024, Against the Current shifted their style towards unapologetic energy and authenticity with the singles silent stranger, blindfolded and good guy. Together, these tracks have notched up more than 40 million streams worldwide. More recently, the band has offered a glimpse into their upcoming album with the explosive new tracks Heavenly and Dead Man Walking.

Celebrating their 15th anniversary as a band in 2026, Against the Current have also made a lasting impact in the gaming world. Their collaboration with Riot Games on Legends Never Die has surpassed one billion streams globally.
The trio have shared stages with Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte and All Time Low, as well as performing on sold-out headline tours and festival stages. Their international fanbase continues to grow, with the band entering a defining new era as they look ahead to more new music.
Against the Current most recently wowed Australian crowds in 2023 as part of their Nightmares & Daydreams world tour. Following the trio’s Sydney performance, Backseat Mafia praised the band, writing that “the energy in the room was undeniable” and highlighting the passion and precision of their performance.
Now, Against the Current are set to return to Australian soil, taking over Liberty Hall, Sydney, on Friday 22 January 2027 as part of the Till Death & Back Tour.
