The world authority on dance music continues expanding their acclaimed festival event, headlined by the Ministry of Sound Orchestra!
Ministry of Sound, the iconic global dance music authority continues their CLASSICAL juggernaut in 2024 with a newly announced show at The Entertainment Quarter, Sydney on Saturday 16 March!
Now in its third consecutive year of touring, CLASSICAL has cemented its position as Australia’s most sought-after retrospective dance music event, having thrilled over 35,000 people across Australia and New Zealand in 2023.
An all-out celebration of dance music, CLASSICAL taps into every clubber’s core memories, reliving golden dancefloor moments that have brought so much joy over the decades. With audiences demanding more shows and overwhelming positive feedback, Classical’s Sydney show will once again expand to an all-day festival format at the centrally located Entertainment Quarter. From 2-10pm across two stages the afternoon will be stacked with incredible DJs and live acts, culminating in a headline performance from The Ministry of Sound Orchestra alongside DJ Goodwill and conductor Vanessa Perica.
From 2pm, the stages are stacked with a stunning selection of local and international DJ talent who will be playing the tunes everyone knows and loves – the main stage will feature Mr Good Times himself, Norman Jay MBE, Sydney’s most loved live act SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEM along with SGT SLICK, GROOVE CITY, KID KENOBI & MC SHURESHOCK and KATE MONROE. Over on the fan favourite Golden Stage expect to hear a showcase of the best of 90s rave headlined by international superstar DARUDE, along with MARK DYNAMIX, JUMPING JACK, ABEL and JADE.
Along with this, this year also sees the launch of the Ministry DISCO BOWLO – what a Sydney way to spend a sunny afternoon than on the green! The event also offers a VIP Village with private bars and toilets, the Kraken Spiced Rum Bar and food trucks.
The feedback from the 2023 show was nothing short of incredible, with punters reveling in the complete reimagining of their favourite dance songs with the Ministry of Sound Orchestra and spending treasured time with old friends in a proper dancefloor reunion.
With such a huge variety of talent warming things up throughout the day, audiences will be wowed as the sun goes down and the headline orchestra take the stage once again in an explosive performance.
With an ALL-NEW set list, expect to hear more of the songs you know and love completely remixed, rearranged & reimagined by the Ministry of Sound Orchestra alongside DJ Goodwill.
Led by award-winning conductor Vanessa Perica – experience incredible live vocals from some of the country’s most acclaimed vocal talent including: Reigan (ARIA Nominee ‘Dreams’), Miss Connie (Sneaky Sound System), Karina Chavez (‘Show Me Love’), Rudy (feature artist on Dirty South’s ‘In the Air’), along with powerhouse mainstay of the Classical tour Lady Lyric and vocal chameleon, Luke Antony (The Voice).
